Gorgeous Deco Poster by Roger Broders

Great stylized high society country club image featuring golf clubs and tennis. "St. Honore' Les Bains, Nievre" A Paris produced masterpiece!

FIRST POST! Welcome!

Welcome to my "Art Deco Posters" blog, a celebration of the graphic arts, with a focus on ephemera. You'll find mostly big bold posters, but also matchcovers, postcards and related deco drama. I love the graphic art, so I may indulge in all ears, from the 1890's Art Nouveau through the 1960's Googie monstosities. But Art Deco is my primary love. I will try to keep thsi blog clean and unadorned and let the art speak for itself. Typically, I will post an image every few days. But we'll start with a bang, with some of my favorites!

The poster above is a charming romantic scene by Glicksman from about 1935. It was printed in Milwaukee by AC Shulz Litograph and may have been an advertisment for the camera in the center of the image.
